City Tour Cusco: Tour of the city, we will visit: The Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, The Cathedral, continuing our tour of the four ruins surrounding the city: Sacsayhuaman, Qenko. 6:00 p.m. approx. return to Cuzco.
The impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman is strategically built over a hill from where all of Cusco can be seen. It’s famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them as high as 9 meters or 30 feet and weighing more than 350 tons.
Situated four kilometers north east of Cusco the archaeological site. Qenqo means maze or zigzag and has a strictly religious function that is part of an amphitheater with niches and a monolith that looks like a Puma and measures about six meters.
Then we visit the temple of Qoricancha which is the máximum expression of Incan engineering. The Sun temple or Qoricancha is the convent of Santo Domingo.
