Chan Chan (in Quingnam: Chan-Chan, lit. ‘Shining Sun’) is a pre-Columbian adobe city, built on the north coast of Peru by the Chimú. It is the largest adobe city in America and the world.
For this Chan Chan Tour, we will pick you up, from your hotel in the city center at 2:40 pm. There will be a visit to Huaca Arco Iris, also known as the Huaca del Dragon; dedicated to the Rainbow as a symbol of fertility. Later we will go to the Chan Chan complex, for the visit to the Nikan Palace or former Tschudi Palace that is part of the Citadel of Chan – Chan declared as Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1986 considered as the largest mud city in the world. tour you will visit the Balneario de Huanchaco (20 min.) where you can buy handicrafts, walk along the pier and meet the famous totora horses by the legend of Takaynamo. Return to the city of Trujillo 6:00 pm
